Alexandra (Alli) Nilles

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I'm working in the Motion Strategy Lab with Steve LaValle. I have a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines.

Research Interests: High level, formal modelling and control of robots. I'm interested in fundamentals: what is a robot? How can we classify robotic tasks? What are good mathematical abstractions for simple robotic systems and how can those abstractions be composed to describe more complex systems?

My other interests include open source software, co-ops, and wilderness backpacking.

My CV is here. You can see some of my current projects at my github and here.
